Psychology takes
   a look at intuition

News & research

Research on intuition and related topics is being conducted throughout the world. Because intuition is relevant to how people obtain information, knowledge, and wisdom, it is being explored by professionals in a variety of fields. For example, relevant research can be found in medicine, psychology, biology, law, physics, athletics, religion/spirituality, and the arts. Parapsychology laboratories across the world also continue their efforts to identify, explain, and raise questions about intuition.

Research topics range from issues of non-locality in quantum physics to dream phenomena in psychology. Researchers are looking at intuition as it is experienced by an individual, by teams or groups, and in large scale significant social events.

This section of our site is dedicated to brief descriptions of relevant research and provides you with information for further exploration of the topic.

In the News Section we explore how intuition is reported in the news and/or described in the media. Intuition is a unique experience; one where we obtain knowledge without the use of logic or reason as we presently understand them. Explore how others are describing intuition, evaluating its usefulness, portraying it in entertainment venues, and perceiving its problems.
