The Theory of the Prime Field

The premise of the book, The Theory of the Prime Field, is that there is another field, a deeper aspect of the quantum vacuum that pervades all space and underlies all phenomena, both known and unknown.  The premise behind this theory is not new.  Responding to the discovery of light, scientists wanted to learn how light moved through space.  It was generally believed that light traveled on a special medium called the luminiferous ether.  The theory of ether so engaged scientists that in 1887 Michelson and Morley set up an experiment to detect this ether.  The results of the experiment shocked scientists because they found that there was no interaction between the velocity of an object and the speed of light.  For example, the motion of a flashlight does not change the speed of light—turn on a flashlight and its light travels constantly whether the flashlight moves forward or backward or sideways.  Light is constant in all directions of space and space, time, and mass can only be measured relative to this speed.  

These results remained unexplained until Albert Einstein proposed The Theory of Special Relativity in 1904.  Special relativity said that measurements taken of objects were only valid in a frame of reference with a relative velocity between observer and observed (object).  With the speed of light absolute, no light bearing medium or ether was required. Scientists concluded then that there was no ether.  However, Einstein later said in an address to colleagues that relativity "did not do away with ether."

Today instead of ether, physics now offers several unified field theories that describe particles, light, and the dimensions of space.  Among these are the theory of the quantum vacuum, quantum field theory, the zero point energy field, hyperspace, and the various string theories including superstrings and Brane theory. 

The Theory of the Prime Field takes a fresh look at the phenomena that have already been identified by physics and proposes that:

1. The virtual particles proposed for the vacuum (called prime field quanta or PFQ) are real particles, and that PFQ combine together to create all other particles, antiparticles, and quanta.  Thus, virtual particles not only make the mass of all other particles they are also responsible for the forces that hold them together.
2. There are magnetic monopoles and a magnetic form of light. 
3. There are parallel dimensions of space:  a) 4 dimensions of matter space; b) 4 dimensions of antimatter space; c) 3 dimensions of vacuum space imbedded in the other spaces.
4. Information is an inherent property of matter and antimatter. 

The Theory of the Prime Field holds that information controls the structure of matter and, along with energy, creates the forces that hold matter together. Information is held by virtual particles and transferred to other particles and light. On a biological level, information in the Prime Field shapes non-living atoms and molecules into complex living systems.  Biological information helps us understand what makes a healthy cell.  Knowing this, we can perhaps change the information of an unhealthy cell to make it into a healthy cell.

As there are healthy environments for cells, there are healthy environments for living organisms.  If we understood the information pathways connecting these levels, we could more accurately follow its signals to restoring a healthy planet.  

The Age of Matter evolved into the Age of Energy; the Age of Energy is now evolving to the Age of Information.  This Age is not just associated with computers and modern communication information, but with all aspects of information.  The Age of Information is in a sense here, but it is nascent and unformed, waiting to be part of the next unified field theory.

Like relativity and quantum theory before it, the Theory of the Prime Field invites you to ponder an inner world vaster than the farthest reaches of outer space, and more mind-boggling than your wildest dreams.  This theory will likely provoke a similar reaction to the one Neils Bohr had to quantum theory when he said, “Anyone who is not shocked by quantum theory has not understood it.”  We welcome your response and feedback.
